A pro-life pregnancy service providing an alternative to abortion, Birthright is not directly a parish organization but is supported by STM through an annual collection and volunteers who assist women through their pregnancy. Volunteers are needs for office work and to help man the telephone hotlines.

Since its founding in 1969, the volunteers at Birthright of Atlanta, the country’s first crisis pregnancy center, have been helping women with challenging pregnancies gain the confidence to choose life for their babies by making a workable plan for the future.

The STM parish family plays a remarkable and enduring role in Birthright’s history, starting with its pledge to cover the rent for Birthright’s first office all those years ago. Nearly five decades later, the children—and even some grandchildren!–of those first supporters have embraced the mission of Birthright and continue to aid its life-changing, life-saving efforts.

If you have a special place in your heart for the vulnerable unborn and for helping their panicked, overwhelmed moms find their way to confidently choose life, Birthright welcomes whatever time, talent or treasure that you feel God calls you to share!
