Decatur Cooperative Ministry’s (DCM) mission is to help families facing homelessness settle into safe, stable homes and build healthy lives filled with peace, hope and opportunity.

Hagar’s House is one of the core programs run by DCM. Founded in 1969, DCM is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that partners with 38 congregations from 14 denominations, as well as schools, government agencies, businesses, community groups, MARTA, and the United Way. Hagar’s House provides up to 90 days of emergency shelter and support services to homeless men, women and children. To learn more about DCM please visit:

In 2019 alone, 103 people have called Hagar’s House home. St. Thomas More provides weekly dinners three times a year to Hagar’s House residents. Our next opportunity to serve will be Oct. 20-26. If you are interested in joining this ministry please email Lauren Hoade
