Just Bakery of Atlanta is a non-profit that partners with refugees on paid job training, professional certification, and a living wage.  Just Bakery provides opportunities for its twelve resettled staff members to work towards their long-term economic security and well-being while working alongside them to build a more diverse, compassionate, and connected community for all. They are currently selling at pop-ups, farmers markets, special events, and faith communities. STM supports their efforts in our community by offering their baked goods for sale in the Narthex once per month. Volunteering to help with bagging the goods after Mass is easy, fun, and helps the bakery to keep its costs down. Can you (or your high-schooler or middle-schooler) help, this weekend and/or another month? Please consider signing up here.
