Dr. Diane Starkovich, Superintendent of Schools (left), along with Father Mark Horak, welcomes new principal, Mrs. Shaun Bland (middle).

We warmly welcome Shaun Bland as our new STM Catholic School principal! Mrs. Bland comes to our school with over two decades of experience in the Archdiocese of Atlanta – six years of administrative experience as both an Assistant Principal and the Curriculum Coordinator at Christ the King School – and an additional 17 years of teaching experience at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic School in Sandy Springs.

Mrs. Bland earned a Master’s of Education Degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. She also completed graduate coursework in Business Management at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Mrs. Bland comes to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge. She is uniquely positioned to assume the leadership of our wonderful parish school and will continue the good work of Mr. Raymond and the talented teachers and staff we are fortunate to employ. During the month of June, Mr. Raymond and Mrs. Bland will spend some time together to ease the transition of leadership for the upcoming school year. Mrs. Bland will join our STM family officially on July 1st.

We offer our congratulations and support to Mrs. Bland. We pray God’s blessings on her and her family as she prepares to begin a new adventure here at STM School where we are a joyful learning community reaching out to the world as the hands of Christ.
