Pope Francis has marked September 29 as World Day of Migrants and Refugees. 1 in every 113 people globally is either an asylum seeker, internally displaced, or a refugee.

STM’s social justice committee has invited Catholic Charities to host a Refugee Camp Immersion Project which helps community members understand forced migration situations across the globe, the realities of life in refugee camps, the process of refugee resettlement, and the cultural histories and experiences of the refugee and immigrant communities in Georgia.

Join us September 22nd in Mulhern Hall from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM to walk through the Refugee Camp Immersion Project and learn ways you can love your neighbor by supporting refugees and immigrants, both abroad and in your own community.
