Hagar House

A shelter providing transitional housing for women and children connected with the Decatur Cooperative Ministries. STM parishioners provide meals four weeks each year.

Central Night Shelter

For the homeless operated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church downtown from November to March. STM volunteers help with meals and overnight stays several nights during the year.

Meals on Wheels

A program designed to provide people living with symptomatic HIV/Aids, homebound seniors and individuals with other critical illnesses or disabilities freshly cooked meals and snacks. STM's commitment is to deliver these meals in the Decatur area on Thursday mornings; your commitment would be one Thursday a month.

Birthright

A pro-life pregnancy service providing an alternative to abortion, Birthright is not directly a parish organization but is supported by STM through an annual collection and volunteers who assist women through their pregnancy. Volunteers are needs for office work and to help man the telephone hotlines.

Catholics for Life

A parish group dedicated to protect human life. Works with the Archdiocesan Pro-Life Office and offers parishioners opportunities for education on pro-life issues, for service to the community and to pray for those imperiled.

Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministry

DEAM provides financial aid for those in need. Volunteers are requested for the office, located at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help

If you can use a pair of scissors, thread a needle and baste, you can help. Gathers the first Thursday of the month - September through June - to sew pads for the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home.

Decatur Cooperative Ministry

An ecumenical community Human Concerns program supported by several churches in the Decatur area providing assistance to families in need, including shelter to women and children, food, and life skill classes.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

A volunteer organization whose goal is to assist those in need as they work to re-establish their stability. It is funded through collections. Volunteers are needed to make phone calls and personal visits to those in need of clothing, food, shelter, and financial help.
