This has been a difficult few months as several regions struggle to recover from the destruction of hurricanes and the earthquake. We are so thankful to the generosity of the St Thomas More parishioners in the offertory collections. With these gifts, STM has been able to contribute a total of $10,000 to disaster relief efforts resulting from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, as well as the earthquake in Mexico City. We are grateful to relief organizations such as Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services that are trained in crisis support and are able to assist in transporting supplies and aid to the people suffering in these areas of devastation.

We are thankful for federal aid that has been sent to Texas, FL, and PR. TX and FL combined has received over $900 million FEMA aid to help rebuild. To date, Puerto Rico has received $30 million. Please reach out to your local representatives and advocate for the people of Puerto Rico, that they receive the funding needed to recover from the devastation of Maria.
