Advent Service Opportunities

advent_service_bulletingMake way for Christ in your heart this Advent season by serving others! The social justice committee has organized a variety of opportunities to serve with the following organizations: Out of Darkness, El Refugio and the Central Night Shelter. Sign up for one or more and pray in action through this beautiful liturgical season. Opportunities are available for all ages!

  • December 1 & 8—Pick up an ornament from the Giving Tree as you leave Mass and support a family or individual in need!
  • December 8 (1-5 PM)—Join the Knights for an afternoon work day at a safe house for women escaping sex trafficking. Ages 12 and up welcome! Sign up
  • December 15 (10:30 AM-12 PM)—Holiday card writing with El Refugio—Write messages of encouragement on cards to be sent to detained immigrants during the holiday season. All ages welcome!
  • December 17 (overnight or afternoon opportunities!)—Volunteer overnight at the Central Night Shelter housed at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception OR prepare bagged lunches for the men to take when they leave the shelter (all ages welcome). Sign up
