The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, which was formerly known as “the last rites” or “extreme unction,” is an action of the Church in which the care and concern of Jesus for the sick may be experienced by the one who is ill. The sacrament is not restricted to persons close to death, and it can be given more than once.
STM occasionally offers communal celebrations of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick after Sunday Mass. Persons desiring the sacrament should call the parish offices at 404-378-4588.
Hospitalized and the Homebound
In-person visits to the homebound and elderly may be arranged through the Parish Office. This includes visits to healthcare, nursing, and assisted living facilities at the facility's discretion. Please contact Fr. Jim Stormes.
