Parish Life
STM parishioners build a parish community of “friends in the Lord” by caring for one another and by building up the bonds of friendship between them. Specific parish life ministries include:

- Bible Study – Join Jerry each Sunday from 10 am to 11:30 am in the Parish Library to dive into the week’s scriptures. Contact Jerry Pendrick via email
- DEAM – Decatur-area churches provide food, clothing and financial assistance to support neighbors in need. Contact Patsy via email

- Centering Prayer Group – Meets Wednesdays from 7pm to 8:30pm on Zoom. Contact Joanna Brunson via email

- Martha’s Ministry – a ministry of hospitality to families who participate in a funeral service at STM. Contact the parish office 404-378-4588 or email Cyndy Fordyce
- More Players (Theater Ministry) – a ministry of the performing arts. Contact Joe Messina at 404-378-4588 or email.
- Nursery – STM provides skilled care for children aged 3 months to preschool during the 9 am Mass every Sunday. Parents can access the nursery through door adjacent to the Family Room. We encourage parishioners to volunteer to assist with the care of these children. Interested persons should contact Mary Ann Brock by phone 404-500-9556 or email nursery@stmga.org. - RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) – RCIA is a program for learning about Catholic faith and spirituality and for preparing to receive the sacraments of initiation. Contact Fran and Carl McColman via email
- Scripture Study with Louanne – Tuesdays, 1pm, Zoom. Pray with and explore the Sunday scripture reading from a historical and theological perspective. Contact Louanne Bachner via email
- S Factor – a ministry of service, prayer, and socializing for senior parishioners. Contact Cass Catroppa via email
- Serviam – a ministry to parishioners who are experiencing a temporary need for food, transportation, encouragement, or other care. Email Erin Brewster for assistance or to volunteer.
- Social Justice Committee (Faith in Action) – Contact Jen Cawley via email
- STM Athletics – STM parishioners of all ages and abilities participate in a variety of athletic and fitness activities to stay healthy and to build friendships. Contact Jessica Prince via email

- Not your Mama’s Rosary Group – The group meets ths 1st Tuesday of the month from 8am-9am in the Parish Library; Other Tuesdays from 8:30am-9am on Zoom. Contact Erin Brewster via email.
